Full Bathroom Renovation
This project involved transforming a tired bathroom into a fresh, modern space. The existing spa bath was removed, along with its tapware and faucet, while the shower taps and rose remained in place. Wall tiles were stripped back from the corner where the spa once sat through to the vanity wall, with tiles carefully removed up to the existing tile freeze.
All floor tiles were taken up and the levels reset to ensure proper falls to the existing waste. Once the spa was removed, a new shower recess was created by directing floor falls to the former spa waste. Two puddle flanges were installed for added protection, and all walls and floors in the affected areas were waterproofed to Australian standards.
Client-supplied tiles were then laid on both the floors and walls, with new shower tapware fitted to complete the upgrade. A fixed glass shower panel (1800mm high x 1m wide) was installed to separate the shower cubicle from the vanity area, giving the space a modern, open feel. Finally, all areas were grouted and sealed for a clean, durable finish.
